See what others are saying about the Gospel Pictorial Storybook.

Pastor Edward Barclay

What would your life be like if you did not have God's Word in your language? What if no one could say, "Open your Bible to the book of John"? For many people in the world, this is reality. But these people still deserve to hear the gospel as soon as we can deliver it to them. The Gospel Pictorial Storybook is one step toward fulfilling our great mission to publish the gospel in every corner of the world.

A primary reason many Bibleless languages still lack God's written Word is that those languages are still unwritten languages For those languages, Bible translators will spend years learning the language, building grammars and dictionaries, and teaching the native speakers how to read their own language before being ready to translate the Testaments. But this long-range task should not prevent us from delivering the grand story of God's gospel message with urgency and clarity.

Two things set The Gospel Pictorial Storybook apart from typical cross-cultural evangelistic tools. First, it is written in a style that can be translated into other languages as quickly as possible. Second, it is written to address several worldview value systems simultaneously. A gospel presentation that resonates with a Western mind might not be as effective for sharing the power of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus to someone in Southeast Asia. This book is written with these other worldviews in mind.

I highly recommend The Gospel Pictorial Storybook as a foundational resource for pre-evangelism among the Bibleless peoples of the world.

The long-standing commitment of firstBible International and Bearing Precious Seed ministries to fulfill the Great Commission is gratefully recognized in the printing of this evangelistic tool. Through a variety of venues, these co-laborers find innovative ways to share the Good News of Christ's redemptive work with young and old, at home in the United States and abroad to previously unreached people. Abeka is pleased to have a small part in printing The Gospel Pictorial Storybook so that many more around the world can hear the Gospel message in their heart language. We pray for a bountiful harvest as a result of this resourceful tool.

Fifty years ago, Bearing Precious Seed in Milford, Ohio, began obeying God's command for His people, the church, to handle the publication of His Word- His assignment to get His Word to the world. But even after printing Scripture in over 65 languages, a massive population still remains unreached by Goď's written Word: the illiterate. But we still have a responsibility to deliver the gospel to this group.

To address this great need, firstBible International has developed a tool that can be a first step in reaching this unreached segment of our world with the gospel. The Gospel Pictorial Storybook is a chronological presentation of the story of God's Word prepared for those who cannot read. These Bibleless people of the world need God's Word just like any other nation or language. Please partner with Bearing Precious Seed and firstBible* International to ensure these people will be able to hear the precious story of God in a way they can understand. Ultimately, our prayer is that they will believe the gospel message of salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I read through the entire book, “The Gospel Pictorial Storybook.” May I commend you for writing the story of Creation, the Flood, and the Birth of a Nation in an easy-to-understand language so that a common man can understand? I am sure it takes the extraordinary grace of God to do such a great job. The simplicity and clarity of the story are superb. This will be an excellent tool for those who have never been exposed to the Bible and salvation. It can be used worldwide. Every word I read is very sound doctrinally.

Millions do not have access to the precious words of God, and nothing can replace a Bible. The lost people of the world need a Bible in their language. But until a Bible can be translated into every language, the unsaved need something to prepare their hearts and stir their minds. While the Gospel Pictorial Storybook will never replace that needed Bible, the GPS can help to lay the basic foundation in any language. I recommend this work to anyone seeking to reach a group without the Word of God, either because that group has no Bible or because they cannot read the Bible in their language.
